St. Margaret's C.E. Junior School

Children's Charities

Our pupil charity group are committed to raising awareness and funds for a wide range of charities, including local, national and beyond.

Children are encouraged to make a difference and come up with ideas. They then plan and prepare wide ranging events such as a community baking & cake sale.

"The school's charity work locally, nationally and internationally and its involvement with the local communty is a key strength. Pupils talk enthusiastically about their charity work, including Rotakids, and how this is giving them opportunities to help those in need." (SIAMS inspection June 2016)

Type Onesie Day - Friday 17th November

Pupils and staff raised £324 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Seb in Y3, who has Type 1 Diabetes, wrote to Mr Hugill with the idea of a onesie day to raise money and awareness for a charity close to his heart.

The Stoke Sentinel wrote an article, interviewing staff and pupils.
