Values & Ethos

Our motto reflects our school ethos:

Everyone is valued

Everyone is motivated

Everyone achieves

Our Theologically Rooted Christian Vision:

> Inspire a strong sense of faith and commitment to Christian & British values

> Inspire a love of learning so children can achieve their potential

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the Lord shall renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

This powerful verse shows us that, “In God’s Strength,” we can be resilient and overcome the obstacles that we may face. Our vision sets out a clear, Christian way of living and growing together, with the aim for all children and staff to achieve success, in many different ways, embracing their talents and interests.

Our Core Christian Values underpin our work:

We actively promote these through worship and PSHE, reinforcing our high expectations of behaviour and clear commitment to excellent learning. By working closely with St. Margaret’s Church, the children have opportunities to explore spirituality and the community is able to contribute to their success.

Children at St Margaret’s embrace our caring ethos and encourage each other to live by our values and do their best. We build their self-confidence by giving them responsibility and inspiring them to contribute to school and the wider community – they support a vast array of charities and local projects.

Success is celebrated in worship every day. We make sure our children recognise their successes as well as understanding how to improve. The progress of every child is carefully monitored and we set high expectations so all children aspire to reach their potential, both academically and in a wider sense.

We are proud to be an inclusive school – nurturing all children so everyone can achieve their goals. We value the unique qualities of all individuals, both in our school community and wider society.
