County Football Final
A huge well done to the boys who played superbly at St George's Park on Wednesday 23rd November. Throughout the morning, in very cold conditions, the boys represented our school fantastically producing some excellent football
They won all four group games and therefore reached the final; the match was level after normal time so the game went straight to penalties. Unfortunately, they boys lost narrowly on penalties after a heroic effort.

On Wednesday 24th May, Year 3 and 4 had the exciting opportunity to compete in the Newcastle schools cross country competition.
After weeks of training to build stamina, they worked incredibly hard on the day at Newcastle-under-Lyme school. We had some fantastic individual performances including Ruby and Thea who came 1st and 2nd out of over 50 runners.
After patiently waiting for the results, we found out that Year 3 boys and girls both came 1st out of all the school competing and the Year 4 girls came 2nd. This means all 3 teams will progress to the finals at Keele on Friday 23rd June. We are really excited for the event and wish all of our runners the best of luck.
As a result of performing so well in the Cross Country heats over the autumn and spring term, St Margaret’s entered 5 teams into the Staffordshire finals. This took place at Keele Univeristy on Friday 23rd June. The day began with a fantastic opening ceremony where dance and singing groups performed and there were two guest appearances. We were thrilled to meet Sam Quek – the gold medallist hockey defender and Ian Marsden - a gold medallist Paralympian. We then entered the grounds for our competitions and everybody performed to an excellent standard. At the end of the day, we found out our amazing achievements. Year 6 boys had come 1st out of all the teams and Year 4 girls came 2nd. This was a tremendous achievement. Well done to all!
