Our children participate in a range of sporting events e.g. cross country, football, netball, swimming and athletics, representing the school with distinction, often achieving great success.

Examples of our sporting success

Cross Country

Congratulations to our cross country teams who have done fantastically well year after year. Each of our various teams (Y3 up to Y6) have enjoyed success and several of our children have won individual awards for finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the competitions. The children represent the school superbly, competing in weekly races against up around 10 other schools. What an amazing achievement!

Football

Our football teams also do well every year.

> They have won the local league title in 2 of the last 4 years and often finish as runners up when they don’t. Fantastic!

> They have made the semi-final / final of the county tournament at St. George’s Park twice as well.

Netball

In a tough league, our netball teams continue to do well, including making the county finals twice, narrowly missing out on the trophy by a couple of goals. Excellent!

Cricket

Our school cricket team also perform consistently well. In fact they made it all the way to the Staffordshire Final during the last year, losing by a few runs in the last few balls. Another fantastic achievement!

This builds on our recent success where we have won the Newcastle tournament several times.
