We encourage our children to participate in school and church worship and they are keen to respond. They write and lead prayers, as well as choosing and singing a range of hymns, both traditional and modern.
Perhaps the best illustration of their commitment to fully engage in our Anglican worship is by their enthusiasm to devise, create and lead worships on a range of topics.
Mr Hugill is often inundated with requests, from groups of children, to prepare worships. These include themes from our Christian values, such as respect or equality, or other topics which they are passionate about e.g. road safety, caring for the environment or inspirational people.
“Collective worship is a joyful time and the heartbeat of the school. Pupils enjoy leading worship on aspects that are important to them. They are rightly proud to read their prayers with their peers…they want to be part of the highly regarded worship.” (SIAMS Report July 2024)
